In previous visits to Collingwood, we considered going for dinner at the Harbour Street Fish Bar. However, for one reason or another, it just didn't happen. So today, we decided to go in.
We sat on the patio (it was a hot day, but temperatures dropped to perfect patio weather). We were the only guests on the patio due to the extreme heat earlier in the day.
The patio, although right next to a parking lot, was made to be a little oasis the way they decorated it. They had managed to make it pretty but also cut down on traffic noise. It was lovely.
Our server was fantastic. She was very attentive and full of personality.
We ordered the shrimp and fish (haddock) tacos with a salad. They serve two tacos per order, and they are huge. Stuffed with plenty of fish and shrimp. And a massive pile of coleslaw.
The shrimp was done in a tempura batter, and the fish in a nice beer batter.
Everything was perfectly prepared and well presented.
There is plenty on the menu that is sure to appeal to every diner. We had a list of items we were considering.
We had a great visit to Harbour Fish Bar, and will definitely be back.
