Bernadette's is lauded as an exceptional fine-dining experience, celebrating modern Indigenous cuisine with artfully presented dishes and attentive service. While many rave about the unique flavors and creative presentations, some note slow service and that the menu changes seasonally, encouraging revisits.
"Bernadette's is intimate & cosy. I loved the decor - and beautiful floral mural & tables decorated with nostalgic china. The menu is interesting, with a meal consisting of fine dining fused with indigenous Canadian traditions. The raw elk (carpaccio) was beautifully balanced. Our group loved the mushroom dumplings! Each plate was a delicious work of art. The tasting menu excluding wines was $160pp so just keep that budget in mind."

"Been wanting to try Bernadette for some time. I was originally going for Asian noodles nearby, but decided to stop in for a glass of wine and happy hour—just to see what it’s all about. The concept seems predominantly Indigenous, and the service and the room are high-level. It was a little cold today—quite cold, actually. The AC was clearly jacked, and it wasn’t even that hot outside-I didn’t say anything.
That said, the service was excellent, and the one item I did try—the oysters—were unbelievable. The presentation was simply beautiful, and the flavour was next level. Almost felt like I was on the East Coast. If a picture says a thousand words, this plate says a thousand and one.
Just look at it.
I’ll definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Happy hour is highly recommended: 3 to 5 p.m., with half-price oysters and select wines by the glass. Just a tip—stick to what’s already open when it comes to wine-ask in advance rather than having them open a new bottle."

"My partner and I came here for the set menu in May and we were absolutely blown away. It is quite possibly the best meal I've had. The wine pairings were perfectly suited to each dish, which was teeming with flavour, colour, and a medley of different textures. It was a mouthwatering food experience! If you're considering whether to splurge on the set menu, you will not regret it."

I finally had dinner at Bernadette’s last week and it did not disappoint!. Our small group shared several of the dishes, and the Saskatoon berry brisket (a carry over from their Pei Pei Chei Ow menu) and the spam pops were the standouts. Service was great, and the space is lovely and intimate.
