Casa Domenico – For something a little more upscale, try Casa Domenico in Kingston’s downtown market square. Described as a “fresh perspective on Italian-style cuisine,” the restaurant boasts items like lamb Bolognese, saltimbocca, and tiramisu on their exquisite menu. Pair your pasta or main with one of the carefully-selected wines to unwind in luxury, or grab a seat on their patio and overlook Kingston’s historic City Hall.

It turns out you don’t need to fly to get to Italy, just head downtown to Market Square. Casa is an upscale foodie haven, serving classic Italian dishes with a “modern elegance” that emphasizes the freshness of each plate. Pair a delicious dish like their Genovese Gnocchi, Capesante (seared scallops), or Scivolo Bianco, with a glass of wine from their international selection.

The race was too close to call, with one of my personal favourites, Casa, narrowly beating their next door neighbour, Olivea, by a single vote. The result is far from a decisive victory, however it serves to highlight the deserved popularity of these two establishments as well as Kingston’s insatiable appetite for fine, authentic Italian fare.

With enough of a break between meals, it was time once again to treat our taste buds – to upscale Italian eats at Casa Domenico. With a glass of Chianti in hand, we looked around at the black and white snapshots on the wall capturing quintessential Italian life trying desperately to decide between all the mouthwatering menu options.

Went to Casa Dominico for dinner to celebrate my husband's birthday. I chose it because it had gluten free options and I called ahead to confirm this (because we were visiting Kingston) however there was some confusion when we arrived about what was available. I ended up ordering one of the chicken dishes, which was pretty good.

Price Range: $$$$ – Expect to Spend $75 minimum per person for best experience. About: Casa Domenico provides a fresh perspective on Italian style cuisine. Blending a classical approach with modern elegance in the food preparation, emphasizing on freshness and quality in the ingredients of each menu item.

It’s a new find (for me) and not a CheapEat but it’s a place I was delighted to find. Tasty food, good menu and since I was introduced to it by a vinophile, who also happened to run into her friend, a Lifford wine agent selling to the restaurant, the wine list should be pretty solid.

Casa Domenico blends classic Italian style with modern elegance. Guests here can enjoy fresh, delicious meals prepared from quality ingredients. The restaurant has a long history of fine dining offering timeless flavors and exceptional service in a contemporary atmosphere.

Casa Domenico is a very stylish Italian restaurant located near the City Hall. It is a rather expensive restaurant but with very tasty food and classy design. The perfect place to celebrate a special occasion!

For fairly upscale Italian (20-30$ for a main), I love Casa (on Brock between King and Ontario), though I might be biased as I have a friend who used to work there so I've been a million times.

All of our other meals were eaten at Casa Domenico (35 Brock Street). This is a truly wonderful restaurant in alll regards and certainly rivals many of the fine dining restos in Vancouver.
