TÉTÛ Taverne Gaspésienne

"We were looking for something open late as we had a wonderful adventure around town that last much longer than expected.

It was great that there were only a few options, because it lead us to Tétû which had great food and a nice atmosphere, but fantastic service.

The pizza was wood fired, our favourite, and done very well. The beef tartar was superb and much better than any we've had around NB. The lamb burger was dense and unique and very fresh. All around a wonderful experience."

"We had breakfast and dinner here. The window views were unbelievable. The two eggs breakfast was fine, the coffee was good, the ordered over medium eggs were made over easy. The lobster dinner was delicious the lobster was fresh and in season, the potatoes were stale, the asparagus were burnt to black. The mushroom pizza was flavorful, the crust was blackened too. La Gaspesienne 13, dark, chocolatey, was interesting. The service was excellent."

"I wish I could give negative star. I have a bad experience since I arrived the restaurant. They only have French menu thus the server ask me to scan the QR code and see the English menu. It’s fine and we did but the app asked us to pay to place order. I want to ask the server about this but no one taking care of my table. They just avoid any eye contact with me. I waited for at least 15 minutes and still no one comes to my table and I can only place order through the app and approved the payment with security code, but the app return to the order page. I have to ask the server on this and get one response to me after 15 minutes finally. They told me there is no order placed and she can take order for me. Ok, I placed order again. Unfortunately, the mushroom risotto I ordered was very salty that we cannot eat. I only ate 1 spoon of it. I told the server but she just walked away and I am not sure what she is going to do. Finally she come back and I told her it is very salty again and she take my dish away and then come back with the same dish and told me the Chef said it’s their normal standard. I told her it’s really too salty and we are unable to eat and request to cancel this order. She just refused to do so but offer to give me dessert with same value. I don’t want dessert indeed but don’t want to create trouble for her and thus ask for what kind of dessert they have. She introduced 2 desserts for us and suggested we can try both. Later, she came back again and said the Chef can only give us 1 dessert not 2. I don’t understand why they can’t make what they offered to me and thus I insisted to cancel the order. Though I didn’t pay it at the end but I don’t think this service is acceptable. In addition, the mushroom risotto is a vegan item but they added ham on it, which is not shown on the menu. I will not go there again."
