Le Casse-Crêpe Breton is another little gem in the city of Quebec dedicated to crepes and breakfast menus. A variety of ingredients of your choice, such as fruits, ham, cheese, meat, vegetables, chocolates, syrups and creams are offered to create the crepe of your dreams. All the ingredients are laid out before you – you just say how you want it cooked, and then watch your dream crepe materialise right before your eyes.

This simple, busy café-style restaurant serves crepes in generous proportions with a variety of options---from a menu of more than 20 fillings, pick your own chocolate or fruit combinations or design a larger meal with cheese, ham, and vegetables. Tables surround four round griddles at which you watch your creations being made. Crepes made with two to five fillings cost less than C$12.

I may be completely wrong about the spelling, after all, it was ten years ago, but they had the most amazing crepes.

Other spots we've enjoyed: Le Casse-Crepe Breton (for breakfast/lunch - crepes are awesome, expect a wait); Patente et Machin (not in the old city); Buffet de l'Antiquaire (a legit Quebecois diner); Le Cochon Dingue; le Café du Monde (a little fancier/dressier, great seafood); Les Freres de la Cote. Also, Aux Anciens Canadiens has a great early bird prix-fixe menu, and they serve traditional Quebecois cuisine. It's a little touristy in my opinion, but we enjoyed the meal.

Not only did we love this restaurant's name since we had just visited Cape Breton, but we also loved the crepes!. We waited for the window seats and we were glad we did. The kids enjoyed the sweet s’mores crepes while the grown-ups indulged in some savory choices.

I’ve loved this traditional crepe restaurant since my husband and I first started visiting Quebec City. I can never visit the city without coming here at least once for breakfast. It’s a tiny restaurant, so they don’t take reservations and do get busy.
