What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery is celebrated for its inventive ice cream flavors and signature sandwiches, often served in fresh waffle cones. While lines can be long and portions may seem small for the price, the unique taste experience makes it a must-visit destination for dessert lovers.
"This street is truly full of hidden gems! After enjoying dinner at another restaurant, this spot was the perfect place to grab dessert—at least, that’s what I did.
Here, you’ll find incredibly rich and creamy ice cream paired with crispy and delicious waffles. The range of ice cream flavors is extensive, and if waffles aren’t your thing, there are other base options available too. I personally went with 2 oz each of banana and mango ice cream, served on a waffle base—which was clearly a popular choice.
When we visited, it was less than an hour before closing, yet the line was still quite long. If you’re not a fan of waiting, I recommend coming during off-peak hours. But don’t be discouraged by the crowd! Most of the time, the popular choices are popular for a reason.😏"

"Love trying ice cream where I travel to. This is in my top 5 just because of the flavours. We were in line for 30 minutes but it was well worth it. I ordered the Miso-Cherry and the Taro coconut and they were both delicious. Well worth it"

"Been here a few times now and snapped a photo when I was trying out their different flavours. What makes this place special is they actually make the ice cream from scratch, it’s not just shipped in like a lot of other spots. There’s usually a lineup on weekends, but it moves quickly (15–20 minutes tops). The staff are super friendly, explain the flavours really well, and help you pick if you’re not sure. They’ve got a huge range, with little notes about the taste and ingredients, which is a nice touch.
My personal favourites: MUD, WTF, and Tiramisu. The Ontario Cherry is great too if you’re into that fruity vibe (not savoury). The only one we didn’t enjoy as much was the mango. Didn’t get a chance to try their waffle cone but that’s on the list for the next time lol 😆.
Pro tip: after your ice cream, grab a coffee from Pilot Roasters next door! it’s the perfect combo. ☕🍦"

23 It just wouldn’t be summer without spending an hour in line for a treat at Bang Bang, Ossington’s perennially popular (but even more so in the warmer months) ice cream shop. The bubbly vessel is just as much fun to eat as it is tasty.
