"Can’t believe I haven’t heard of this restaurant until recently yet they’ve been around for 10+ years! We had reservations and were quickly seated. The restaurant is quite small and it filled up quick so I do recommend making reservations. Something to keep in mind though, washrooms are located downstairs with steep stairs and isn’t easily accessible.
We had a fantastic experience at Patois and so sad it was only 2 of us because we wanted to order everything on the menu to try. The service was top notch and our server was so friendly and attentive to our needs. Since it was our first time there, she recommended dishes for us to order and she did not steer us wrong!
We got the Platter for 2 and the Pineapple Bun Burger. At first glance, the platter didn’t look like it would be enough food but we were wrong and had leftovers to take home.
The arugula and mushroom salad was delicious. The dressing was the perfect amount and was very light. We got fried chicken with our platter and it’s one of the best fried chickens we had at a restaurant! It was so good we ended up ordering another order of fried chicken to take home and even after 1 day and reheating in the oven, the chicken was still so tender and perfectly crispy.
The pineapple bun burger is a cool concept and worth trying if you’ve never had it. Personally, it wasn’t my favourite dish of the night but still glad we tried it.
I can’t wait to go back and try all the other dishes!!"

"I had been interested in ordering from Patois for awhile in my UBER Eats delivery search. I finally got the day to order and I decided on the Single Order of Famous Fried Chicken. I saw that others had rated the meal in the ninety percent so I thought that this meal was going to be amazing. At first appearance the chicken looks crispy and the rice exactly how I like it not over cooked. The coleslaw looked good too. Portion wise I found the rice was just a scoop and the funny thing was the rice and coleslaw were the meal. As much as the chicken was fried externally well I honestly did not like the chicken. It had no flavor I did not finish it. The gravy on the side was a huge thumbs up as with delivery you never know what can happen if gravy is soaking in your rice too long. I was not happy with my order and it sucked because I paid for the delivery fee and the subtotal on the meal was $30.75. I know I won't be rushing back to make an order. Sometimes it works out your meal is amazing and other times like mine its a miss."
