What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hawksworth Restaurant is lauded for its exceptional service and elegant ambiance, creating a sophisticated yet comfortable dining experience. While many rave about the inventive Pacific Northwest cuisine and outstanding wine selection, some reviews mention that certain dishes can be overly salty or portions smaller than expected. However, the proactive and professional service often rectifies any issues, making it a memorable destination for special occasions.
"Fantastic experience from the moment I walked in. Didn't have a reservation, but was solo and it was early. The place was busy, so I got lucky. Right away I had staff attending to me. The food was phenomenal. The service was exceptional. Thanks to Sasha and the team for all their attention. Sorry I forgot to take your gift with me. Until next time!
Highly recommend,
Ivan"

"Last night was my first time dined here which has a solid reputation, but I have mixed feelings about my experience. The ambiance and service were definitely the highlights — the staff was friendly, attentive, and the overall vibe was warm and comfortable. It’s definitely a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
As for the food, it was decent, but not quite as impressive as I expected. I ordered the main dish, which was good, but it was on the smaller side. Honestly, if I hadn’t added on a side, I might’ve left still hungry. The flavors were fine, but nothing that really stood out or wowed me.
Overall, the experience was pleasant, but I don’t know if I’d rush back based on the food alone. Still, if you're looking for a comfortable spot with great service, it’s worth considering."

"We had dinner at Hawksworth last night and overall, it was a nice evening out. A few of the dishes were larger than expected, which was a pleasant surprise given the price of dining out these days — always nice when it feels like you’re getting some value.
That said, my main — the veal cutlet — was unfortunately overly salty. And I tend to like my food on the saltier side, so for me to say it was too salty really means something. The waitress was great about it and kindly offered to replace the dish. Shortly after, the manager came by as well, apologized, and offered the same, which I appreciated. I decided not to go for a replacement of the same item as I figured it might come out similarly, and while I considered ordering something else, I just lost my appetite.
To their credit, they comped the dish and also offered a dessert on the house. So while the dish itself was a miss, the service was absolutely excellent — thoughtful, proactive, and professional from start to finish.
All in all, I’d give it 4 stars. Not a knock on the service at all, but more a reflection of the food experience that evening. Would still come back and give it another shot."
