A former gentlemen's club that has evolved into an upscale, tapas-style bistro, this restaurant turns shared dining (think generous small plates) into a deliciously classy experience. Roasted cauliflower, orange-braised fennel, and buttermilk fried chicken with spiced maple syrup come alongside oven-fired pizzas with toppings such as zucchini, mint lemon, and cashew béchamel. Save room for a dessert finale, especially if it's espresso cake.

As sister restaurant to Hawksworth, Nightingale is a contemporary eatery with an extensive menu of seasonal vegetable dishes, fresh salads, pizzas, pastas, crudo and creative proteins. Dishes are presented in a range of share plates and sides that contribute to the laid back, convivial atmosphere of the industrial-chic space. The bar, which is the focal point of the dining room, offers an approachable and diverse wine list, house libations, inventive rotating cocktails and a range of local craft beers.

Nightingale was one of my favourites in Vancouver for its variety of dishes. They do seasonal Canadian cuisine here and their menu includes everything from pizza and pasta to salads and pork bely. We ordered a number of dishes to share including oysters served with lemon and horseradish, buttermilk fried chicken (you must order this - it was super tender and the mix of flavours worked so well), grilled cauliflower, pepperoni pizza, spaghetti marinara and pork belly (another must order!).

Enjoy a taste of David Hawksworth’s elegant downtown restaurant with his new celebration box. We love heading to Nightingale for their happy hour- think delicious buttermilk fried chicken, garlic parmesan fries, beet salad, and wood-stone pizzas.

Nightingale, acclaimed as Canada’s Best Farm to Table Restaurant, specializes in Roman-style pizzas with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. The menu has tons to tempt but the fried chicken is stellar, featuring juicy buttermilk fried chicken, with spiced maple syrup, pickles, and a dusting of sumac. Note: Nightingale is closed currently but anticipated to reopen January 19.

Nightingale is located in the waterfront business district of Coal Harbour in Vancouver. This area is close to many hotels and convention centres, though is somewhat of a restaurant desert - except for Nightingale. The food menu is impressively large and constantly changing, with a wood-fired oven firing Neapolitan-style pizzas that balance a perfected two-day sourdough crust with bubbled, black-edged perfection.

A beautiful room, plenty of ambiance, delicious food and cocktails are the hallmarks of a great date night and Nightingale checks all the boxes. The downstairs lounge boasts soaring ceilings, beautiful decor and a warm buzz, making this a lovely spot to convene over a drink and a bite. The dining room is on the mezzanine (with the open kitchen) and looks down onto the lounge.

The heart of the restaurant is a wood-fired oven, where some of the dishes are cooked, such as Neapolitan-style pizza. Nevertheless, pasta and colorful salads can be find on the menu as well. The restaurant attaches great importance to the regional origin of its ingredients and has therefore already been recognized as one of the best farm-to-table restaurants in Canada.

After enjoying success at Rosewood Hotel Georgia, Chef David Hawksworth launched Nightingale Restaurantin May, 2016. Chef Hawksworth’s second restaurant in Vancouver delivers fresh and vibrant modern Canadian cuisine in a relaxed social setting, with share plates leading the way. The 139-seat dining room features a lively bar and Chef’s Table for up to 16 guests.

Don’t let the big local chef name fool you – this Hawksworth joint is all about buzzing, unpretentious atmosphere. Yes, they’re so stubborn that they decline all menu modification requests (and even specify this on the menu) but I have to love their conviction here. The super seasonal, fresh, bright menu works for high end contemporary Canadian but then bam!

You can thank LFG (see above) for being one of the driving forces behind this expansion, as David Hawksworth's Michelin Guide-recommended Nightingale doubles down on its Vancouver presence this year. It will occupy the former Distillery space in Yaletown, which is an ideal location for this pizza, pasta, share plates, and cocktails spot.

Nightingale offers a casual room to enjoy beautiful Canadian eats – lots of share plates and don’t leave without trying one of the house pizzas.

Lunch with the downtown crowd at Nightingale, a gorgeous, high-ceilinged restaurant and bar located near the waterfront. Pizzas here arrive with suitably blistered crusts and can be complemented by a Pacific Oak cocktail, made with B.C.-distilled Shelter Point Classic single malt and a pair of amari, plus honey and ginger.

Who says you have to go to a designated dessert cafe to get some sweet indulgences?. Nightingale, recently opened in the Financial District, is a sister restaurant of Hawksworth. Normally, restaurants with their small dessert menus wouldn’t make my list but the number of options at this restaurant is sizeable.

Nightingale is an excellent restaurant for people who suffer from allergies. The waitstaff is super knowledgeable and every time I come here I tell them my allergies and they take the menu and cross off everything that I’m allergic to and can’t order. This makes it really easy for me to choose what to order.

For an upscale take on fried chicken, check out the the buttermilk fried chicken with spiced maple syrup, sumac, and pickles at Nightingale at 1017 W Hastings St. This Californian inspired eatery offers a range of modern dishes, including roasted maitake mushrooms, braised octopus, and rabbit pasta.

This romantic restaurant offers a menu that is designed for sharing. Order a variety of small and large plates, as well as pizzas to share with your date. Save room for dessert though — they have some decadent options, including a salted caramel pot de creme, mango pannacotta and earl grey cake.

Nightingale has a bit of everything from house-made pasta, wood-fire pizza, as well as charcuterie and crudo. It's the second restaurant opened by famous local chef David Hawksworth. It's difficult to recommend one item on such an extensive menu, but their potato gnocchi does not disappoint.

Lunch at Nightingale: Nightingale is a cool joint to devour a good lunch in the city that’s located in a historic building in Vancouver’s Coal Harbour. They make some delicious, fresh meals and have a huge array of microbrews for you to try.

The Buttermilk Fried Chicken at Nightingale needs no introduction. It is a cult favourite and a must order every time. Large pieces of chicken are coated in spiced maple syrup and sumac and topped with pickles.

Nightingale has a crazy good fried chicken with a spicy maple dipping sauce/glaze. This is a higher end restaurant though, not a dedicated fried chicken joint.
