Reviews Summary

The Acorn is celebrated for its highly creative and imaginative vegetarian and vegan cuisine, earning accolades worldwide. Diners praise the innovative dishes, attentive service, and sophisticated atmosphere, particularly enjoying the tasting menu and crafted cocktails. However, some guests find the portion sizes small for the price, and a few have experienced inconsistent service or found certain dishes not to their taste.

"Have now been three times!! The entire experience is amazing!! The food is made with such creativity and care. I love the rotating chefs menu it allows you to indulge in dishes you wouldn't have otherwise chosen yourself, every single one is delicious. The staff remembered us and were so lovely and accommodating throughout the entire night. Hands down one of the best spots in Vancouver, Can't recommend enough"

Sydney Anderson

"Vegetarian and vegan friends: do not walk, RUN to acorn! Me (vegetarian) and my vegan partner got the chefs tasting menu and WOW!!!! I ate some of the best food of my life! I was amazed at how full I was after eating an entirely vegan meal too! We did the wine pairing and it was fine, i'd recommend splitting one between two people. The one (small) drawback is that the space is small and we were basically on top of the table next to us, but again, you don't need to talk much when you're eating the best food of your life. Absolutely worth every penny."

Riley

"I was in Vancouver for one night and the concert I came for was cancelled so thought I’d do something special to make the trip worthwhile. I did the Chefs Tasting Menu (vegan) and it was probably one of the best meals of my life. I thought the price of $85 was really reasonable for the quality of food (impeccable) and the amount (12 dishes, albeit small, which was perfect). My favourites were the tomato (cold soup with pasta made from the tomato leaves), the cucumber and the raspberry (dessert). Service was great and I’d love to come back here!"

Their dishes are creative and beautifully presented, creative dishes I didn’t notice too many meat substitute ingredients like tofu, or an abundance of raw veggies like alfalfa or bean sprouts. In fact, I didn’t think I was eating “vegetarian food” at The Acorn, I was simply having a meal that didn’t have meat in it. Although the menu changes every season to suit ingredient availability, one regular menu item is the Harvest, which is a surprise dish of seasonal herbs and vegetables from local farms.
