The Gray Olive Cafeteria is praised for its creative comfort food and cozy, plant-filled atmosphere, making it a popular brunch spot. While many rave about the flavorful dishes like the Kitchen Sink bowl and crab cake bennies, some diners find certain items overpriced and soggy, with occasional complaints about inconsistent oil quality and slow service.
"Haven’t been to gray and olive in a long while, and let me tell you ! It hasn’t change one bit, well maybe the fact that they have an even bigger space! But the food is always so good and delicious! Never disappoints! And the service is excellent and attentive and efficient! The place and new addition space is beautiful! Will try to visit more often when we are in the area! Great place for breakfast/ brunch! We had the kitchen sink with soft poached eggs and the chicken sandwich with fries! So good!"

"This is a sunny spot! Beautiful plants, lots of space. The menu had good options, not a lot. But solid picks. I love you can get tofu instead of meat! Their lattes are delicious, and the food was supper savory and yummy. I got the crab cake Benny, and it was 5 stars. The eggs were perfect and the crab 👌I am full, happy, and will come back. Service was friendly!"

"Great little cafe on Hastings in Burnaby Heights. Food was tasty and and an ok size. I ordered the Daily Special, $12 incl coffee, super tasty. Hubby ordered the pulled pork Benny he said it was good but could have been a little hotter. Service was fast and friendly. Thank you."
