What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Purebread Bakery is celebrated for its incredibly delicious and diverse range of baked goods, with many customers highlighting the exceptional scones and decadent brownies. The cozy atmosphere and inviting aromas contribute to a highly positive experience for most visitors. However, a few reviewers have noted instances of poor customer service, which has unfortunately impacted their overall impression.
"It’s a busy bakery. However quality is amazing ! I got the Lemon Basil Blueberry Scone and it’s really good !
also the iced latte is good pair with sweet pastry…
However for the service… we asked for the Chocolate Fudge Babycake but the staff gave us the Vegan Double Chocolate babycake… it’s pretty good tho but we wanted a diffrent one.
Now I understand what the hype is about.
A must visit place when you’re in Whistler !"

"Horrible experience with the female who served us today 4:45pm on March 30, 2025. She was very rude and sighing loudly as we were waiting to pay, making it clear she was frustrated with us for no reason. I ordered 2 whole sour dough breads and she slammed the sour dough on the counter after packing it- didn’t say anything at all to us the entire time nor smile at us and went to chat with her coworker smiling and laughing and left us there with the paying machine. We didn’t say thank you or look back at her and left. I would understand if she was having a bad day, but it was clear from her laughter and smile while chatting with her coworker that her rudeness was intentional. We were polite to her the entire time, but she completely ignored us, even after we made our purchase. This kind of customer service is completely unacceptable, especially when we did nothing to warrant such behavior. Even my boyfriend noticed her rudeness and how unkind she was to me. I truly expected basic courtesy and a polite attitude, but instead, we were treated with complete disrespect. If she was not smiling and didn’t say anything, I would be fine with that, but don’t sigh loudly and slam our breads that we bought, and show on her face how unhappy she was. The quality of the bread might be good, but honestly, the poor service ruined the entire experience for us. I would not recommend this place to anyone, and we will never return. It’s a shame because the bread is good, but the overall experience left a sour taste.
Edit: In addition to the poor service, we noticed that we were overcharged on our credit card. At this point I feel like this was done intentionally. It seemed like the employee didn’t care about her responsibilities or her job at all. We got the miso sesame sour dough and honey walnut sour dough for $10.50 each as stated here and here is my credit card charge! 31.50?! Be careful on how much you’re getting charged. Be sure to double check. This level of customer service did not deserve our kindness. I will be reaching out to customer service to dispute the charge, and if needed, I will also take it up with my credit card company.
Upon reviewing recent reviews, it appears that others have had similar experiences with this employee. Management: Please consider investing in better training for your staff and ensuring that all employees understand the importance of professionalism and customer service. Those who show a lack of care for their work should not be allowed to continue in such roles. Unfortunately, the negative attitude and poor service we encountered were enough to make us decide never to return again. This level of behavior is completely unacceptable, and it has left us with a very negative impression of your business."

"The cakes are bloody amazing! The lemon and blueberry brioche is so moist and rich with fruit. Cappuccino (although not as hot as I'd thought) was very aromatic. Ooey gooey chocolate bar is insane and the cookies and cream loaf is baked perfectly. Ploughmans sandwich was great on a warm day. Cafe choice #1 in the area"
