Gusto North

Hargrave St. Market focuses on chef-driven concepts and is home to some of the city’s best local operators including Bobby Mottola’s first-to-market Yard Burger, The Good Fight Taco, Rose Bar, and his second Pizzeria Gusto location (Gusto North). Also part of the tenant line-up are Saburo Kitchen (new concept for Yujiro Japanese and Gaijin Izayaka), Fools and Horses (third location), Miss Browns (second location) and Lake of the Woods Brewery (from Kenora, Ontario) which will also be brewing beer on site in addition to operating a retail store and taproom located on the first floor of the tower.

Gusto North/Mottola Grocery (242 Hargrave St.) - Inspired by its OG location on Academy Road (which too has a lovely patio), Gusto North's menu features high-end Italian dishes right in the centre of the city at True North Square. The patio stretches over Hargrave Street, providing views of downtown Winnipeg to savour alongside chewy, charred-just-right pizzas, crunchy and creamy arancini, and luxurious pastas. Academy Hospitality also has a patio right on the ground floor of True North Square that services Mottola Grocery, often featuring fun bars slinging Italian staples like Aperol spritz.

The first outpost of local favourite Pizzeria Gusto, Gusto North is an extension of the flavours and feeling of being at an Italian family dinner table. Inspired by its original location on Academy, the Gusto team have brought a meticulously designed menu and space to Hargrave St. Market's only full service sit down restaurant. Visit, and you’ll feel at home in the middle of downtown.

We can’t mention Pizzeria Gusto and not mention its secondary restaurant, Gusto North. Located within Hargrave Street Market, this downtown Winnipeg Italian restaurant has just as dynamic and exciting a menu as Pizzeria Gusto. The atmosphere is fantastic, especially if you’re lucky enough to snag a seat on the large patio at sunset in the summertime.

Here, you'll find some of the best bites in the city all under one roof, from epicurean snacks at Mottola Grocery to epic pizzas from Gusto North. Then, don't miss Boniface, the city's charming French Quarter, for delicious smells and sights — and the best bread in town at La Belle Baguette.

North of the parking lot is where I have launched in the past but with changes at the Monastery things might be different now. Stop and visit the Arts Centre or spend some time in contemplation.

So happy to have this place in the north end. My favourite shawrama in the city! I've tried most items on the menu and everything has been delicious....
