"I recently had the pleasure of dining at a hidden gem in Yellowknife, located on the third floor of the Nova Inn. This restaurant offers a refreshing take on Chinese cuisine, with a setting and vibe that stand out from the usual. The atmosphere is clean and quiet, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful meal.

The menu is impressively extensive, featuring everything from dumplings and noodles to rice, poultry, and fish dishes. I was impressed by the variety and quality of the offerings. The service was efficient and friendly, adding to the overall positive experience.

For those with a sweet tooth, they also offer a selection of bubble tea and cakes, which was a pleasant surprise. Given that there aren’t many Chinese dining options in Yellowknife, this spot definitely earns a thumbs up for both its food and ambiance."

"We popped by an hour before closing and they were super nice to accommodate us. Inside is very cosy, very full of boxes and random supplies and freezers. Already I felt like it was a legit Chinese restaurant 😂

We ordered the braised pork belly and the Beijing noodles. I have zero complaints, the food was so good. The pork belly jiggled and absolutely melted in your month. The noodles had good texture and a generous amount of pork and cucumber. We had enough to take leftovers for the next day.

I would definitely recommend this place to satisfy Asian food cravings while in Yellowknife."

"Their eggplant 鱼香茄子is very good. The bbq duck was a bit overcooked. But the meat is still tender. The shrimp fried rice and pineapple shrimp are good. The portion is big. In general, one can’t expect the food to be authentic in Yellowknife. But this place is good. They also have bubble tea as well. Service is great. They are not too busy every time I come here."
