Also located a short drive from Oranjestad is Salt & Pepper restaurant, which specializes in tapas. Salt & Pepper serves breakfast daily from 8am to noon, and includes a wide variety of options such as a traditional American breakfast and an authentic Aruban breakfast, as well as eggs any style, pancakes, and French toast. True to its name, the interior of the restaurant is lined with ceiling high shelves that showcase hundreds of different salt and pepper shakers.

Also, for inexpensive meals, we enjoyed Salt & Pepper (across from Hyatt) and Iguana Joes (downtown). Both were very good.

Alfie’s has one of the best burgers I’ve ever had with peanut butter, raspberry jam, and maple bacon on it (please trust me and order The Goober!) Salt & Pepper is a must-stop for tapas. Casa Tua is fantastic if you’re looking for pasta or woodfire pizza. And Bingo is great for steak and seafood in an environment that’s not over-the-top fancy.

Argentina, where grilling a superb steak is an art form, had come to Aruba. Each night the award - winning chef is grilling only the very finest cuts of beef on an authentic parilla charcoal grill. Once you dine at the Tango, you will know that Argentine beef is simply the best.

They had different salt and pepper shakers at every table and the walls inside had shelves and shelves of shakers. They even offer free sangria for those who bring a set for them to keep!. Spanish tapas were the specialty here, perfect for any amount in your party!

Salt & Pepper may give off a touristy vibe with its strip mall setting, but looks can be deceiving. Open all day, with a varied menu of light bites, sandwiches, and salads, the restaurant actually reaches a broad range of diners.
