Reviews Summary
Green Tea Restaurant is celebrated for its beautiful ambiance and delicious, reasonably priced food, particularly its desserts. While many praise the authentic Hangzhou flavors and attentive service, some reviews mention issues with specific takeout orders. The unique setting amongst tea fields is a major draw, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists seeking an immersive dining experience.
"Nice ambience, great food, excellent services, worth value of money. I would come back to Hangzhou just to have a dinner/lunch at this place.
Located in Xihu, this restaurant was like a feudal dynasty hidden in the forest. With ancient architecture, I was overwhelmed by the romance and poetry of this place.
The food was marinated with tea leaves so the flavor was refreshing. Maybe Longjing tea? Love the cold chicken, stir fried beef, pork rib soup, etc. And the best part was the desserts. I mean you should try every single dessert that they served you. Super super super delicious!!!
P/s: You should come before 11am cuz the queue was long. Otherwise you had to wait till 1pm-2pm."

Enjoying traditional desserts from Hangzhou
It's said this dessert was invented by the Green Tea Restaurant but its popularity spread and now most good restaurants serve the dish. It's basically a loaf of hot bread with cold ice cream balls inside; it has contrasts between hot and cold, soft ice cream and crispy bread.

The original Green Tea restaurant is a series of rustic wood structures sitting on a tributary of the West Lake with an imperial log-cabin vibe and queues so inevitable for the barbecue pork and spicy West Lake fish that it opened another branch in town, and one in Beijing.
