Reviews Summary

Lai Ching Heen is widely praised for its exceptional service, stunning ambiance, and exquisite Cantonese cuisine, particularly its dim sum and Peking duck. While some reviewers note the high price point, the overall dining experience is consistently described as memorable and worth the splurge. Service is a recurring highlight, with staff frequently commended for their attentiveness and professionalism.

"Such a beautiful restaurant. Service was attentive and quick.

Highly recommend the Peking duck which comes in three courses: duck skin with pancakes and a variety of condiments, minced duck in lettuce wraps, minced duck in crispy tofu rolls. As we had an oyster allergy in our party our last course was changed to wok-fried with bell peppers, which was delicious."

Jessica Jo

"I’m not a fan of how the restaurant doesn’t offer a nice harbour view table for hotel guests, but overall, the service is good. The food meets expectations, and I really like the presentation. The speed at which the food arrives is impressive — it’s clear the team is carefully monitoring the pace to ensure everything is served efficiently without interrupting the flow of the meal."

Cindy Jiang

"Located right next to the iconic Victoria Harbour, the view was impeccable. Environment gave a luxurious vibe with a modern Chinese-style featuring a heavy use of grey tones and marble stones.

Staff was professional, knowledgeable and attentive. They explained menu items in detail before ordering and when serving dishes, leaving customers feeling valued in every moment. They suggested ordering a half portion seeing that we might have ordered more than we could eat, so that we could try as many dishes as possible.

Food was not impressive and you can have definitely tastier Cantonese dishes in cheaper eateries but I guess a lot of the price went to the presentation, the environment, and the service. Overall, I'd say it's worth it."
