Among the novelties that we like to highlight for a romantic dinner is its underground heating, which avoids the little romantic gas heaters, the terrace overlooking the garden and a bar that presents a great artist of drinks, which makes the Cocktail bar an exciting show to witness. Personalized menu by an expert, who offers consumption recommendations: what is a good snack, a good soda, which combines better with meat or fish, which are the most curious. We like to recommend, “Trout of Tota”, the “Duck Magret” and marinated prawns and scallops, among other fantastic dishes.

Check out Black Bear, located on a park and mimicking an atrium, this restaurant serves international food that looks like art and has impeccable service to accompany the ambiance. I have to say that I heard more English speakers in this restaurant than anywhere else in Colombia thus far, but I’ll forgive them. I visited this restaurant twice.

Restaurant Black Bear: This trendy restaurant shows up on all the best restaurants in Bogotá lists and for good reason. With a light-strung patio and bistro dining room, the atmosphere is vibrant and exciting, the kind of place where you want to linger over a glass of wine for hours. And the food is nothing short of fantastic.

Named after Chef Andrew “Black Bear” Blackburn, this high-end bar and eatery sits on a block full of other upscale spots. Cocktails are the primary reason to come here, though the creative small plates like fish and quinoa croquetas or octopus buñuelitos are reason to come back.

She now works for the Takami Group, a restaurant collective with some of the city’s best bars, including Black Bear, Cantina y Punto, and Segundo, where she bartends most often. Here, in her own words, Rose outlines a perfect day of drinking through Bogotá.

Black Bear – This place is so full of craft cocktails and the hipsters who love them that you may think you’ve teleported from Bogotá to Portland. There’s food here too but it’s the serious mixology that keeps this place packed.

Black Bear, at Carrera 11a no. 89–06, has some of the most professional mixologists in town serving original drinks and Colombian takes on classics like the Moscow Mule and Old Fashioned.
