Founded in 1980 by a group of university students who believed in offering dishes that combined high-quality ingredients with affordable prices, Crepes and Waffles menu has an option for any palate. With 28 branches across South America and Spain and over 90 just in Bogotá, this place is a go-to for those looking to have a proper sit-down while enjoying some amazing dishes, like the Gandi Crepe and the Valparaíso Salad, among a wide range of starters, such as soups, pitas, smoothies, crepes, and their famous panne cooks (rounded baguettes stuffed with all sorts of meats in a creamy cheese sauce). Make sure you save some space for dessert because their sweets menu is huge and incredibly tasty!

With almost 100 outlets (including about 50 in Bogotá) there’s a good reason Crepes & Waffles is one of Colombia’s most successful restaurant chains. It specializes in a wide variety of delicious crêpes, including those with veggie, meat, and seafood fillings. Try the shrimp in curry sauce crêpe, served in a bowl with a basket of bread.

They serve up, as the name suggests, both sweet and savory crepes and waffles as well as soups and salads, desserts, and other specialties. We sat down for lunch in the La Esperanza branch near the US Embassy. I had a Mexican-inspired shrimp crepe while Marisol ate a Caribbean shrimp dish.

I can’t do a true full review of Crepes & Waffles because I only went for their ice cream. This restaurant has locations throughout Colombia (and they have expanded to other countries as well). They offer a variety of vegan and vegetarian options, so I do wish I had gone for a full meal.

Siempre los recomiendo porque hay opciones para todos los gustos. Al final de la carta hay un montón de alternativas saludables, entre esas mi favorita: los pancakes de auyama. Parecen un postre, a veces dudo que sean así de sanos, se acordarán de mí cuando los prueben.

Just as their varied choice of lunch and dinner focuses on French food, Crepes & Waffles brunch have the same style. But the best thing is that being a restaurant also specialized in desserts, crepes and waffles, the options are sweet, salty or both.

Like Wok, Crepes & Waffles is a safe bet if you’re looking for a tasty meal that doesn’t break the bank. I highly recommend the Panne Cook. It’s basically a big ball of bread with meat and sauce inside, and to me that’s pretty much awesome.

This is not only one of my favorite restaurant, but probably of many Colombians and foreigners who come here. The name says it all: they sell crepes and waffles. They have a vastly expanded menu of very creative crepes and waffles.
