The focus here is on well-crafted, punchy cocktails made from in-house rum infusions and local fruits, served up from an impressive four-poster bar dominating the low-lit first floor. Take my advice—do NOT miss a visit to Alquímico on your trip to Cartagena Colombia. After which we went into Old City one more time to Alquimico to try some of their famous cocktails. This was a huge plus. I had really wanted to go there at some point, but we didn’t find the time.

Engulfed in a retro-vintage style venue, although mostly known to be a club and disco, La Movida Gastro Bar in the old city of Cartagena is also a multi-experience place to spend a night.

After starting your night there, head to Alquimico to try their octopus, it’s fantastic. Stay later in the evening while it transforms into one of Cartagena’s best nightclubs.

Alquimico has 3 different levels where you can enjoy your drinks. The 1st and 2nd floor has a club like feeling where the 3rd floor rooftop is a little more chilled out.
