Bamboo Sushi Club

Bamboo Sushi Club is an intimate and tastefully-decorated restaurant located in the heart of Tamarindo – though once you walk into the garden-like setting, it is quiet and romantic. They have a great selection of traditional and unique speciality rolls, as well as salads, noodle and rice bowls, sashimi, dumplings, and other Asian-inspired dishes. The fish is always fresh and with the exception of salmon, caught in Costa Rica.

As soon as you cross the bamboo bridge, you’ll be instantly transported from a strip mall to an ocean-side Zen garden where the fish is bought fresh from the boats. Try a frozen mojito and start with a seaweed salad and steamed dumplings, then dive into the sashimi and sushi.

Bamboo Sushi Club also reaches a little further afield, with treats like spring rolls and prawn salads. The courtyard has the appearance of a Zen garden, so you’re invited to eat among the greenery for a true taste of inner peace.

Last but not least, we stopped into Bamboo Sushi Club for lunch one day while in Tamarindo. Craving a bit of a change from the traditional Costa Rican food, we ordered some sushi and the chicken teriyaki salad. I have to be totally honest here: the food was delicious, but I am a little bit hesitant to recommend Bamboo Sushi Club because of the price.

Matty’s Delicafe Reviews all agree, don’t miss out on the fresh, homemade organic sandwiches. The Baller meatball sub is getting a lot of attention, but there are many delicious vegetarian dishes available as well. For the Breakfast/Brunch crowd you won’t be disappointed with the delicious selection of pastries and fresh fruit smoothies.

Bamboo Sushi Club - I am a sushi lover and just couldn’t go three full weeks without it. Not surprisingly, this ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip. After we went, one of our neighbors told us you can request the locals menu which has cheaper options that are equally as delicious.

This is one of our Top 5 Favorite restaurants in Tamarindo, it’s absolutely incredible. It’s located across the street from the Beach Club and Copacabana in a little strip shopping center. An oasis awaits you as you cross the bridge into the sushi club.

Mauro Camera didn’t need to open a third restaurant in Tamarindo — his Bamboo Sushi Club and Patagonia Argentinian Grill were already local favorites. But then someone suggested that he try his hand at seafood, an idea he found intriguing.

You may want a lighter meal after eating at Patagonia and the Bamboo Sushi Club should be your destination. BSC serves and eclectic mix of sushi and sashimi. However, the one constant is the fresh fish they have on offer.
