What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Diners consistently praise Bota Šare for its exceptionally fresh seafood, particularly the oysters and sushi, and highlight the friendly, knowledgeable staff. While many appreciate the cozy, Dalmatian-inspired ambiance, some reviews mention slow service during busy periods, and a few indicate a decline in sushi quality compared to previous visits.
"This fish restaurant offers sushi that is much better than all the other sushi places in Zagreb. The fish was fresh and prepared like at home. The desserts were also delicious ("rožata"). The service is a little slow and it seemed that some of the guests got their food before us.
They have only 2 beer brands, but the wine selection is much more interesting and bigger.
During warmer days, they have a cute terrace. Plenty of places to park around (Zone 2)."

"I recently visited, and I must say — it was an unforgettable experience! The ambiance was cozy, elegant, and perfect for a relaxing dinner. Although our food took about 50 minutes to arrive, the staff were incredibly kind, kept us informed, and even offered us a complimentary dessert as a gesture of goodwill — a really thoughtful touch that didn’t go unnoticed.
Now let’s talk about the food: the scampi was to die for! Fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection — hands down one of the best seafood dishes I’ve had in the city. Everything else we ordered was equally impressive, clearly made with care and quality ingredients.
Would I go back? Absolutely! Bota Šare has definitely earned a spot on my go-to list. I’d highly recommend it to any seafood lover visiting or living in Zagreb. You won’t be disappointed!"
