With a beautiful waterfront view and stylish interior, Vistamar is a lovely place to enjoy a meal, or simply have a typical Cuban cocktail and seafood starters such as octopus with Parmesan cheese and pesto, or fish ceviche. The speciality of the house is the ‘ mariscada‘, a tasty combination of lobster, shrimp and red snapper. The menu also include a large selection of Cuban food, from pork and chicken to lamb and rabbit, while the seaside location affords astonishing views of the sea and the sunset.

Overlooking the Straits of Florida, this cozy little paladar is set in an attractive Miramar home, and provides alfresco dining with, as its name suggests, fine views—well, at sunset anyway (at night, it's blacker than Hades out there). The dishes are good quality and specialties include octopus and lobster tails. The lemon pie also comes highly recommended.

Just like most of the hotels in Havana they do serve a splendid landscape view of beautiful turquoise sea and colorful sunsets which is much more exotic when the food is super tasty and becomes a piece of art created by the skilled chefs. Vistamar opened 28 years ago and it continues to delight, proving you don’t need to chase something new to get a great meal. It fulfils the promise of its name (Spanish for “sea view”). Over the years, we have occasionally dined at the inside tables, but the go-to spot is the fairly spacious outdoor area, with tables facing the water, each with an umbrella to provide shade from the sun.

Paladar Vistamar has a glorious setting overlooking the water, and the chefs there made the best white tablecloth, fancypants restaurant meal in Havana. The grilled lobster tails were meaty, slightly crunchy on the outside, and would have been perfect if they had been taken off the grill a minute earlier. The ropa vieja was a classic, paradigmatic version of the popular Cuban dish.

One of the oldest paladares in Havana on the edge of the sea, Vistamar specializes in seafood, and other elegant dishes with a view. Come at sunset and enjoy the crashing waves while you eat curry fish, and incredible tomato gazpacho or mushroom risotto. Fun fact, there is a pool right outside the dining room, and I believe you can swim, but I’ve never seen anyone in the pool.

You’ll be hard pressed to find a better restaurant view in Havana than the one at Vistamar. Located in the courtyard of an elegant Miramar mansion, you are so close to the Caribbean Sea it almost feels as if you’re sitting in the water. The grilled seafood is sublime and there is also an interesting – and reasonably priced – wine list.

For one of the best waterfront dining experiences in Havana, head to Vista Mar. This restaurant in Miramar offers stunning ocean views and a serene ambiance. Known for its fresh seafood, Vista Mar’s menu includes favorites like lobster, shrimp ceviche, and grilled fish.

This gorgeous paladar is located right off the water in Miramar. Unfortunately due to timing issues, I wasn’t able to dine here during the day or for sunset. I’d definitely recommend doing that!
