"This Taverna has been around since 1953, and has exceptionally nice atmosphere. We sat outside, under the pergola & vines, where there was a cool breeze. We could see the sea in the distance. The food was exceptionally good. My husband got the "Mix" - grilled meat with fries/chips. My daughter and I each got salads. My daughter had a brownie with ice cream for dessert, which she declared to be one of the best she had ever eaten. This is just far enough from the Promenade to feel traditional rather than touristy/commercialized. We were delighted with our experience here, and our server was great."

"We went about 6pm, restaurant was quiet, the staff were helpful with questions we asked about the menu. The portions were small for the price. It’s expensive for what you get. Also be aware the meats on the coals all have bones in it.
So the portions is even smaller as

Along with a superb, friendly hospitality guests have the opportunity to sample the finest in local cuisine. The tavern is famous for providing authentic flavours thanks to the traditional homemade cooking which includes the ‘meze’, meats cooked over charcoal oven.
There is probably no point in giving recommendations for individual establishments - they are all about the same. The good quality of the kitchen is distinguished by Hondros is a hundred meters up from the intersection Apostolou Pavlou Avenue and Lidas... The prices are slightly higher there, and the portions are slightly smaller than elsewhere, but the food is great.
