Reviews Summary

Field Restaurant offers an exceptional fine dining experience, lauded for its creative, Michelin-starred modern Czech cuisine that beautifully showcases local ingredients. Guests consistently praise the artful presentation of each dish, the attentive and friendly service, and the unique drink pairings. While an indulgence, many find the experience to be a memorable culinary journey.

"We had the best birthday lunch at Field. The food is truly outstanding and shines a light on Czech ingredients, cooked in a modern and delightfully surprising way! We loved all of our dishes, from the homemade bread with cultured hazelnut butter, the excellent smoked eel, the sturgeon and a really fresh take on sweet and sour duck (a Czech classic) where you will eat all the parts (breast, skin, heart).

The staff is really friendly and relaxed and it’s in a lovely neighborhood. We had some really good Czech wine as well. Highly recommended, we will come back on our next visit! For 60€ for 3 courses and coffee, it’s an absolute steal"

"An unforgettable dining experience at Field

Field delivers on every level — from the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The staff were knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings, striking the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness.

The food was simply exceptional. Each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour, showcasing seasonal ingredients in creative and thoughtful ways. You can really taste the care and craftsmanship behind every plate. The tasting menu was a highlight — every course brought a new surprise, and the pacing was just right.

Field is the kind of place that reminds you why dining out can be such a joy — not just for the food, but for the entire experience. Highly recommended for you want to treat yourself to something truly memorable."

"Incredible experience of a Michelin Star restaurant. We cannot tell you how much we enjoyed this spot. From the time we arrived till we left the wait staff was incredibly attentive and the chefs were so great to watch. They all seemed to be in tune with one another and worked very well together. They never seemed to be overwhelmed or frustrated. You could tell it was a team effort and they all seemed to love what they did.

The environment was not as uptight as we expected which made the experience even more fun to sit back and be guided through exquisite cuisine. They made jokes, had incredible table side manners, and were a joy to spend the ending with.

The location was quiet around the outside, almost mysterious which made it even more “exclusive” feeling. And the prices were not over the top.

We ordered 3 short menus, 2 normal, 1 vegetarian which was very appreciated for our party. We did not do the wine pairing, I couldn’t convince my other guest to do it but it would have been even more elevated! The lamb and kale salad were the best I’ve ever had. We loved the crayfish dish as well - the shot was so fun!

We will remember this for a lifetime and will tell our friends about it. Thank you for a great experience."

The 15 best restaurants in Prague

This intimate, laid-back restaurant won its Michelin star in 2016, just a year after it opened. Run by chef Radek Kašpárek, well known to Czechs via his TV appearances, it has been delighting diners ever since with its concept of modern Czech cooking based on local and seasonal ingredients of the highest quality. This translates to a menu featuring items such as rabbit, foie gras, veal and game, as well as forage-friendly elements including forest berries, black garlic, nasturtium, and root vegetables—all imaginatively assembled and beautifully presented throughout a six- or ten-course menu, or via lunch menus, which are available through the week as well as at weekends.

Behind the Scenes of Prague's Growing Natural Wine Scene

Michelin-starred Field debuted in Old Town in 2014, bringing a minimalist, Nordic-inspired twist to traditional Czech dishes. Executive chef and partner Radek Kašpárek blends culinary modernism with an emphasis on simple presentations, and his naturalist food philosophy carries over to wine, with 265 European natural wines on the menu, approximately a third of which are local labels.

With an unbeatable location on the corner of Kozí and U Milosrdných, Field picked up a Michelin star in 2018 and is more than worthy of the honour. The menu is magnificently simple. The sauces here are already legendary but it is the 10-course degustation menu that really appeals, a decathlon of flavours and recipes expertly paired with some of the finest wines in the country.

A relative newcomer to Prague's fine-dining scene, Field has made a splash quickly, grabbing a Michelin star for its locally sourced, Scandi-style food. While its tasting menu is astronomically expensive, there are cheats: the shorter weekday lunch tasting menu is much more reasonable, at 950 Kč. The imaginative cooking is worth it if you are looking for a blow-out, though.

Field is the Prague’s newest Michelin-star winner which serves fresh ingredients in a simple ambiance near the Jewish Quarter of Old Town, which attempts to source locally while creating an exciting, Scandinavian-inspired menu. You can have the option of ordering their ten-course tasting menu or eating à la carte, and both give you choices like kohlrabi and quark or various fish creations that you will be hard-pressed to find elsewhere in Czech Republic. In addition to wine pairings with the taster menu, Field also features non-alcoholic drink pairings which are mostly vegetable juices.

where to splash on a meal

We visited Field about a month after they opened, and they opened last November to a pretty big hype: chef Kasparek had a stint as a TV chef and worked previously at Ola Kala, which we liked a lot. The room is clean and airy and has a cool, colorful ceiling, with some agricultural touches referring back to the name. The locations is perfect, in the middle of the often neglected Stinadla district (and many hope it will stay so) right next to the Public Interest bar for after-dinner drinks.

Prague’s other Michelin star belongs to Field, which – as the name suggests – is dedicated to farm-to-fork dining and showcasing high-quality produce. Come to sample modern Czech cooking in casual Scandi-inspired surrounds, where locally caught trout may be coupled with gooseberry and caviar or veal served with artisan cheese and morel mushrooms, all depending on the season. Dinner consists of six- and ten-course tasting menus, with judicially selected wine or non-alcoholic pairings.
