"The Mexicana Cantina is a Mexican restaurant in the Royalton Punta Cana resort.
The restaurant has a small taco stall placed just outside it and serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian tacos. I tried the chicken taco and it was really good.
Inside the restaurant, we ordered a few veg & Non-veg Mexican dishes. Nachos were served first but they were a bit hard and not that tasty.
The portion of the dishes was small and they tasted okay. However, the presentation of some of the dishes was impressive."

"Food was, again like place next door, lacking in any authentic flavors. Food was just ok. They badly need a real Mexican chef. Best part was the guacamole and queso which was really just melted cheese in a hot pan. The chips were stale. The fajita meat and veggies lacked in flavors. The waiter agreed to bring margaritas and instead brought us lemonade in margarita glasses. He ended up telling us that this mexican restaurant did not have margaritas despite a very well stocked bar being just outside the restaurant affiliated with the same resorts. While he had a good attitude he basically lied."
