What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Buche Perico is celebrated for its stunning greenhouse ambiance and delicious Dominican cuisine, offering a unique dining experience. While many praise the flavorful dishes and attentive service, some reviews mention slow service and minor issues with cleanliness in the restrooms. The restaurant's charming decor, including an interior garden with a waterfall, consistently receives high marks.
"Bucho Perico is a hidden gem in the heart of the city center. From the outside, it might not seem very big, but once inside, it opens up beautifully with a stylish, modern design and a stunning surprise at the back — a small pond with a waterfall that adds a peaceful touch to the atmosphere.
The food was truly enjoyable. I was recommended the pork belly, which I usually avoid due to the fat, and to my surprise, it came fried — something I hadn’t expected. But I gave it a try, and I’m so glad I did! It was incredibly flavorful, and the rice that came with it was absolutely amazing.
All in all, we loved everything — from the setting to the food to the service. A wonderful spot to discover and highly worth a visit!"

"OMG of you're visiting Santo Domingo and you haven't gone to this restaurant do not tell anyone you went to Santo Domingo. The food is chefs kiss and the service and drinks were amazing. I do not speak Spanish and they were so helpful in getting me a translator. I love soup and was ordering one that would have been too large and the waitress stopped me. The drink of choice and suggested was perfect for the meals I took. As a solo traveler this experience was immaculate. I was full and satisfied. They do not bring the bill until you request it oh, did i mention the ambiance. Just look at the pics. I took a start off because the bathroom was smelly and one wasn't clean but otherwise I world definitely revisit. The price is also really good 👌 I included the bill for my meal. Such a relaxing experience with an explosion of flavorful meals. All my senses were being naturally and favorably stimulated"

"DELICIOUS!
The tuna and yuca appetizer is a MUST! Seared tuna, shrimp pasta were also great. The stuffed chicken was yummy and our least favorite was the salmon ravioli. It was a bit salty and I am not a huge fan of smoked salmon. The fría fría drink also AMAZING! We went two nights in a row!!"
