Reviews Summary
DP1 Cafe offers a unique, quirky atmosphere with a loyal following for its excellent coffee and specialty baked goods, particularly date scones. While many praise the friendly service and delicious food, a few reviewers found the decor dated or the food average, with one noting an inexperienced waitress. Despite mixed reviews on ambiance, the coffee and specific items like scones consistently receive high marks.
"A funky, quirky cafe with a good selection of creative tasty food. I had the meat lovers breakfast - and it was delicious - bacon cooked to perfection, poached eggs nice and runny as I requested, plus nicely cooked meat, patties and black pudding - served pretty quickly.
A nice array of free newspapers for customers to browse, and a great vibe, with quietly charming, laid back yet efficient staff. Coffee was hearty with a good crema, the custard slice was delicious and tasted homemade.
I was glad I dropped and I’d heartedly recommend this cafe. They even had discounts for gold cards!"

Homey hospitality and a great vibe in this colorful, retro-style spot comes with house-cooked breakfasts (scrambled eggs are as good as you'll find anywhere), lunches, and baked goods. Plus, the outlook over the Grey River is terrific.
