Reviews Summary
Café Engel is celebrated for its warm service, delicious traditional Finnish cuisine, and stunning views of Senate Square. Diners rave about the salmon soup and desserts, though some note that the ambiance might have lost some of its former charm over the years, and occasionally the bread served with meals can be a bit hard.
"Lives up to the hype! Warm and attentive service, delicious food and a wonderful view of Senate Square - what more could you want! We came here twice during our short time in Helsinki."

"If you come to Helsinki and have no idea where to go, then I would happily suggest Café Engel ! Close to the Cathedral, it's a lovely little place, with delicious food - and I have gone multiple times with friends. I would also heartily recommend their salmon soup, my personal fave !"

"When I came here before 11 or 10, I could not order salmon soup. So I ate a pie and coffee first and came back after 10 or 11. I am not sure about the exact time. But the food was so good and the vibe was great. I miss the salmon soup and meat balls. But the bread which comes up with food was a little bit hard to chew for me. Hahahaaaa
It was goood!
P.s. I like the pickles:)"
