Reviews Summary
Ravintola Nolla is lauded for its pioneering zero-waste concept and excellent service, with many diners praising the creativity of the Chef's Choice menu. However, some reviews point out issues with excessive saltiness and flavor balance in certain dishes, leading to a mixed experience for a few.
"Nolla is an absolute MUST visit when in Helsinki. Visited for dinner and it was incredible!
We were warmly welcomed on arrival and after being shown to our table the restaurant's zero-waste mission was explained. It's clear that the staff are as passionate and impressed by what the restaurant does as the diners are! All ingredients are sourced within 250km of the front door, glass is recycled and composted waste is returned to suppliers to complete the circle.
We went with the five-course Chef's Choice menu, which was an excellent choice as it offered a lot of variety and was excellent value. The dishes were chosen from the menu and we got to enjoy sourdough bread and butter, cured pike perch, deer tartar and grilled oyster mushrooms, followed by the catch of the day for the main and finally celeriac ice cream for dessert.
These were truly inspired courses of cooking and the flavours were incredible. I don't think there was a single dish that I wasn't wowed by!
Whilst a pairing option is available we ordered our own drinks - the cocktails were particularly good.
Icing on the cake really is the staff, they were all so genuinely lovely and made the night extra special.
We wanted a special meal for the last night of a three-week trip to Europe, and Nolla absolutely delivered in providing the best meal of the trip. Be sure to make a booking, it's worth it!"

"Hands down one of the best meals I ever had. We chose the chef's table set inside the kitchen and a 5 course tasting menu. The food was masterfully adapted to our dietary requirements without a hint of a drop in quality. The waiting staff were incredible and the chef even took the time to present one of the dishes to us and have a little chat. All in all a 10/10 experience!"

"Lovely experience. The service was attentive, but not pushy, all the servers were extremely nice. We were not too amazed by the starters, but the mains more than made up for it. The vegan mushroom dish was the surprising winner of the night!"
