What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Restaurant L'Àncora offers stunning sea views and a good value Mediterranean menu, particularly its paella. However, many diners report slow service and inconsistent food quality, with some dishes and desserts receiving negative feedback. While the ambiance and views are often praised, the overall experience can be marred by service issues and food that doesn't always meet expectations.
"One of the best places for paella in town."
Iain B
"I wouldn’t recommend it. We got the menu at 21.90€/pp. The mussels were served without any sort of sauce, plain. The paella tasted like burnt but the bottom of the dish wasn’t burnt, not great. The service terribly slow. The venue very noisy when full. Good location if you can sit next to the windows, you have great views of the sea."
Ferran Barneda
"I strongly recommend avoinding this place. I couldn't eat the mussels at all, as they had a very very weird taste.
Then, the mixed paella (with seafood, chicken, pork, sausages - I wonder what else they could've put in there) - couldn't eat it either, neither me or my sister. Awful taste, really.
The dessert is basically a chocolate cake bought from a supermarket on which they added some chocolate syrup. I just wish it wasn't expired, cause I did eat a slice.
On top of everything, the service is very very slow. We waited for about 30 minutes (on the clock) just to have our order picked.
I don't usually leave negative reviews, but this is truly a place to avoid."
