This is a family owned restaurant and you can tell they take pride in every detail and strive to make your dining experience a memorable one.
The complementary olive tapando and breads were the best I’ve had. We had the buratta entre which came with tomatoes and the most delicious sprouts. Our plat was the sea bass. We have tried sea bass all over the world, and without exaggeration this was the best. Delicious over carrots, squash, and black rice.
A bottle of champagne was included in the price range I quoted.

In this blog post I am going to concentrate on La Cité and one of my favourite places to eat inside the walls is Restaurant Le Marquiere. This family owned restaurant lead by chef Marius Bernard since 1985 offers simple and tasty regional cuisine served in an elegant dining room. On my last visit I enjoyed pan-fried beef Filet served with an escalope of foie gras and a delicious house sauce.
