"Most of this review is for the welcome/service, which was downright bizarre and my wife felt was rude. Clearly this is a place whose reputation is built on its wine list. We made a 19:30 reservation and showed up a few minutes early (the bar was already open and one could sit on the terrace). Apparently our arrival caused some kind of disruption. We sat down and asked for the placard of daily specials and were told there was only one (an andouillete sausage dish), though were never shown the placard. We ordered off the regular menu and got our wine. A little while later, a couple showed up and the servers sat them down with a placard with a bunch of daily dishes, noticeably not including any andouillete sausage. Strange. We asked them about the placard, and then they begrudgingly brought it out for us. We ordered one dish off the menu, but things were already weird.
The special (shrimp) wasn't so great. The terrine was served from a jar with the price tag on it...I guess that's one interpretation of "flavors of the market." Had a well presented, but generic "mixed vegetable" course. The dorade was not so well seasoned. Potatoes were good, but steak was good. Fantastic wine did not salvage the meal."

"We ate at Michelin Star restaurants throughout our 18 days in Europe in 2019, but this was one of the best restaurants of the entire trip. It was the perfect combination of quality and value. The wine list is quite good and correctly priced (had the '99 Jamet Cote Rotie, which was amazing). We enjoyed our first meal there so much that we came back a second time. Service was great, too! Highly recommend!"
