Diners consistently praise 'A la Table du Bon Roi Stanislas' for its excellent, unique dishes and attentive service, often describing it as a memorable culinary experience. The historical ambiance and the owner's passion for explaining the food are frequently highlighted. "This was one of my most memorable meals - and in a good way! There are three to four options per course. All were interesting combinations and they were explained by the owner. I frequently eat at good restaurants and this is one of the best meals I have had. Fresh produce, clever combinations, excellent cooking and great service. And the cost was modest. If I come back to Nancy I will return."

"Un repas d’anniversaire inoubliable!
Had a wonderful birthday meal here- delicious and good sized portions.
Had a set meal with starter, main, cheese board and dessert. The wine pairings for the mains were excellent!
Was pleasantly full and not uncomfortably stuffed.
Didnt have to worry about language barriers- our waiter Jonathan was super accommodating explaining the different wine pairings, and was maintaining speaking French to me whilst also speaking to my partner in English.
10/10, would recommend! Merci bcp!
Ps. Try the in-house madeleines- they’re great! 👍👍"

"Had dinner at À la Table du Bon Roi Stanislas in Nancy and was thoroughly impressed. The place is small and simple in interior design, but it exudes a cozy and welcoming atmosphere.
Started with the Quasi de Veau rôti au basilic et parmesan, which was excellent in taste. The veal was tender and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the basil and parmesan.
For dessert, I had the Blanc-Manger, which was delightfully light and creamy, providing a satisfying end to the meal.
The service was attentive and friendly, enhancing the overall dining experience. Despite the modest decor, the quality of the dishes truly stands out, making this restaurant a must-visit for anyone in Nancy."

Meanwhile, just a minute’s walk from Place Stanislas, you’ll find the Maison des Soeurs Macarons, an institution in the city. During the French Revolution, two Sisters, thrown out of their convent, found new jobs baking and selling macarons. When one of the Sisters left a plate of macaron mix on a windowsill, it went flat, but she did not want to waste it, so she cooked it anyway.
Visiting Nancy (France): 15 must-sees!
Here is a restaurant that I strongly invite you to discover because its concept is fabulous!. The two partners spent four years immersing themselves in the history books of local gastronomy to recreate dishes that King Stanislas might have tasted in his time. Here, for example, you will find neither tomatoes nor potatoes, as they were not yet eaten in France in the 18th century.
