Experiência no Chez Davia em Nice. Local bastante recomendado, adorei a personalidade do cardápio escrito à mão e o “linguine au pistou” estava delicioso. #nice #restaurant #michelinguide #CuisineNicoise #frenchcuisine

Reviews Summary

Chez Davia offers a charming bistro experience with traditional Niçois cuisine and a modern twist. Diners praise the refined flavors, fresh ingredients, and intimate atmosphere. However, some find the portion sizes small for the price, leading to mixed opinions on value for money.

"Went to Davia on a Saturday for lunch.
The food was exceptional with a seasonal menu.
I'm a big calamari adddict so that's the first thing that I ordered. Crispy, fresh and suuuper tasty. Served with a little mayo.
Also had poutine toasts, was fresh too and I could taste the sea as I bit it.
Main course was thr aioli. Perfectly executed, codfish was moist and tender. A couple of sea snails, perfectly cooked veggies and herbs.
Don't go anywhere else for aioli.
Service was fine and knowledgeable, I would say that they should serve dishes at the same time on a table. I was almost finished my started when the my father received his.
Atmosphere is veeeery quiet. I would say too quiet. Prices are in the higher side of the spectrum too.
Highly recommend if you can afford it and like well crafted food."

"My husband and I had lunch here on a Saturday and it was fantastic. The service was friendly and helpful, the food was cooked and seasoned to perfection, and the wines were delicious. A friend recommended it and I will recommend it to others and come back whenever I'm in the area. Everything was fresh and delicious!"

Elisa Martin

"Refined, elegantly prepared local food. An absolute delight from start to finish. Portions suitable for 3 courses which was perfect for us. The produce is local, fresh and prepared in a delicate and very tasty manner. Wine recommendation was superb. The dining room is small creating an authentic atmosphere. Price fair for the quality and execution. We can’t wait to return - thank you 🥰"

Located between the main train station and the Promenade des Anglais, Chez Davia is a fantastic French bistro that brings a modern twist on classic Niçois cooking. The bistro itself is full of charm with red gingham tablecloths, vintage furniture and mismatched light fittings. First opened in 1953 by Chef Pierre Altobelli’s grandmother, the restaurant has continued through the generations serving up incredible local cuisine to locals and in-the-know foodies.

Having honed his culinary career in Japan, Pierre Altobelli returned to Nice to run his family’s restaurant, bringing his own contemporary reimagining to Niçoise fare. The menu is driven by seasonal market finds, but might include delicate barbajuans (crispy ravioli), vivid whorls of pesto linguine, and smoked mozzarella with impeccably ripe figs. And if you’re not already a fan of tourte de blettes (Swiss chard tart), Altobelli’s will convert you.
