What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
La Galinette is celebrated for its exceptional, garden-fresh tasting menus and artistic presentation, offering significant value for a Michelin-starred experience. While many praise the innovative flavors and generous portions, some diners have noted inconsistencies in service, particularly regarding attentiveness and English communication. The intimate setting adds to the charm, but booking in advance is highly recommended.
"This restaurant is fantastic and a great value. The chef believes in giving larger portions so definitely go hungry. The food integrates products from the chef’s garden which is a nice fresh touch. The presentation was beautiful and the food was delicious. The restaurant was full and could probably use one more server. This is our second time visiting and we will definitely be back."

"This wasn't just dinner, it was an experience! We had 6 dishes with wine pairing, and every mouthful was a delicious blend of complex tastes that changes with every bite. A very special way to enjoy our final night in France!"

"Good value for the price, we took an 8 tasty meal for 65 euros, most of the dishes were good, the place is very small, there is a staff of three waiters- a lovely girl, another guy with glasses and a very nice neck tattoo but what ruined the experience is the third waiter, the only English speaker. Shocking attitude spoke in contempt of an eyeball. In conclusion, an experience that will not be repeated."

He is genuinely committed to his vegetable gardens and collections of citrus and olive trees. Plant-based notes permeate his cuisine from starter to dessert. The bitterness of the romaine lettuce is given a twist with a dash of slightly peppery nasturtium oil and accompanied by trout from Irouléguy; the John Dory, with its reduced bouillabaisse, fennel confit and rouille, is another dish with a strong vegetable flavour, which serves to enhance the top-quality fish.
