"Great spot to get lunch! The gentleman who served us (maybe the manager or owner) was so welcoming and helpful in explaining the menu and where the wines were from. Also accommodated our lack of French by speaking English. The food was delicious (we got the steak and squid) and the serving was generous. Highly recommend :)"

"We had a lovely meal. There was only one person for serving but he worked hard and did a great job!!! Nice place but as it was een open seating so a bit cold. Wine was a bit pricy. Food good , tasty and plenty. Awesome desserts!! Good price quality."

"Very overpriced and the food is nothing special. I hated my time there because I constantly had to defend my steak against the 5 big black flies that were competing with me for it.

There are redeeming qualities: the setting is nice, the service was good, and the kitchen stays open -- most other restaurants' kitchens close at 14h even though the restaurant itself may stay open. This is infuriating because it makes Google maps opening hours completely useless. There should be two sections: restaurant opening hours and kitchen opening hours.

Anyway, this is one of the rare places where we could show up at 14:30 and get a table rather than getting refused. That's nice, thank you for feeding us today for lunch.

Overall, it's inevitable that this place and all others around it in St Emilion are nothing but tourist fast food joints in fancy disguise. You won't be offered dishes here that take time and effort to cook. It's salad out of a bag, a piece of meat or duck with a quick sauce, and a side of fries. It's okay. But factor in the super high price and maybe it's not so okay anymore."
