What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Mama Tai offers a diverse range of Asian dishes, with many praising the authentic Vietnamese flavors, high-quality sushi, and generous portions. However, some diners have experienced slow service and found certain dishes, particularly starters and the black rice, to be too salty or underwhelming compared to previous visits or expectations.
"The restaurant is authentic! The hosts are awesome and are full of love and energy for what they do. The owners are wholesome and kind and know how to recommend food, EVERYTHING was the recommendation that I was given. Their menu isn't large in order for them to focus on the freshness of the food. And they deliver, everything here is topped with fresh and aromatic herbs and spices. The food is fantastic and completely homemade. I vividly recommend trying the Pho which was absolutely delicious. The fact that this is a family run restaurant and that the food is very humbly priced makes the food even more delicious and refreshing than it is. Frankly, if you're a first timer to Vietnamese food or a Vietnamese food lover/connoisseur, make the detour, stop by and eat some delicious pho!"

"I have visited this place several times now. It is a top tier Asian cuisine restaurant in Aachen. One of the best, if not the best. The food is delicious - be it chicken rice, sushi or dumplings. I was surprised by the drinks served here - Mango Lassi and Ginger/Lemon soda is refreshing. The only cons would be the service. It is slow. So don't come here alone or you'll end up scrolling your phone most of the time. The price is upper tier. The ambience is top! This place is also dog friendly :) Overall, a must visit if you're into Asian cuisine."

"Nice spot for Vietnamese food with plenty of vegan options. The flavors were good, but the black rice was too salty for our taste—something to keep in mind."
