"Absolutely horrible experience. Went to take my three year-old for ice cream on a crowded Friday afternoon. There was a small spot out front which looked like a great spot to put the bikes for two minutes while we grabbed the ice cream. There were no signs to say that it wasn’t allowed.
The worker came out and angrily shouted at us “ Not for a second! Very, very bad!” Sadly, this is a fairly typical way to treat customers around here.

Riffelmacher Conditorei is a nice choice if you want something very very central – we stopped here for some hot chocolate and dessert before our train and it was a tad slow service-wise, but a nice place and the treats were delicious.

There is also a great place to get coffee and cake at the Café Riffelmacher in the Obere Brücke Street leading to Old Town Hall. The Café am Dom is another place to visit; here they serve a delectable smoke beer praline.
