"Nice staff bog portion of food. Drinks are also really diverse. Music level is in good one that its not bothering you. You can pay by card and cash. They have inside tabels and terrace as well. Nice place for dinner"

"Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt is a must-visit in Berlin! I stopped in for a few beers and they were absolutely fantastic and fresh, perfectly poured, and full of flavor. The atmosphere is warm and lively, with that classic Bavarian charm right in the heart of the city. The service was spectacular, all of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. If you’re in Berlin and love great beer, this place won’t disappoint! 🍻"

"A great spot right in the heart of Berlin with a pleasant view and authentic Bavarian atmosphere. Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt offers a truly traditional beer garden experience, perfect for anyone who wants to enjoy classic German food and drinks in a beautiful outdoor setting.
The service was very polite and attentive — all the staff we encountered spoke English, which made ordering and asking questions very easy. The menu offers standard Bavarian fare like schnitzel, sausages, potato salad, and pretzels, accompanied by freshly tapped Augustiner beer — brewed in Munich since 1328. Everything was served fresh and quickly, and the portion sizes were generous.
One of the highlights of this place is the outdoor seating area during the summer months. With checkered blue-and-white tablecloths and plenty of shade from umbrellas, it’s a great place to relax and watch the evening go by. The view toward the Gendarmenmarkt square adds a charming atmosphere.
If you’re planning to visit in the evening, it’s definitely recommended to make a reservation, as the place fills up quickly — especially on warm nights.
All in all, a solid and satisfying place to experience Bavarian culture right in the middle of Berlin. Definitely worth a visit!"

Locals' Favorite Places to Eat German Food in Berlin
In case you didn’t realize that Munich is the more likely place to see the German folk frolicking in Lederhosen and Dirndln, you can still fake it in Berlin by visiting these two highly commercial German breweries and restaurants. If you happen to miss Oktoberfest in Munich, you can still get a small taste of it by visiting one of these establishments during the celebrations. Neighborhood: MitteRecommended dish: It’s touristy, so get something weird like Pork Knuckle or white sausage (Weißwurst) or maybe play it safe and get a Brezel (pretzel).

This restaurant has got some serious Bavarian vibes, which means they definitely serve authentic German sausages. A Very Biased Guide To Berlin Beer and Pubs, October 2023 Edition
May seem like a tourist trap from the outside, but Augustiner Edelstoff is served from wooden cask every day from 6pm, and plenty of Berliners actually go there. The atmosphere is great (it feels like you could actually be in an Augustiner beer hall in Munich), the prices are overall reasonable, it’s pretty much always busy, so better book in advance to be sure.
The Best Beer in Berlin Guide: Breweries, Bars & More
If I’m taking out-of-towners through Gendarmenmarkt, this is almost always our next stop. Yes, it definitely caters to the tourist crowd but not exclusively. You’ll also find many Berliners on a business lunch here as well as locals who are after an Augustiner Edelstoff that flows directly from wooden casks.
Traditional v modern: Beer in Berlin
Augustiner am Gendarmenmarkt was our first stop off purely because it was the nearest place to our hotel to get a beer. We’ve been to Augustiner’s bars in Munich and Salzburg which were both fantastic so I was interested to check out the Berlin location. Awful pic but you get the gist!
