Reviews Summary
Café de Paris Cologne is praised for its wonderful Parisian ambiance and delicious French-inspired dishes, particularly desserts. However, some diners have experienced significant issues with slow and inattentive service, and a few found the prices to be on the higher side. Occasional interruptions from beggars while dining outdoors have also been noted.
"My gf and I went there on Monday for late breakfast. I was there before, back a few months ago, but had only coffee break. We love the ambiance, felt like in Paris. One of the waiter was super kind and friendly, the others are friendly. The portion of drinks and meals is satisfying, worth the price. We had French Toast, Crossoint, ruheier with mushroom, milchkaffee and tea. Will definitely recommend it to all my circle 👍👍👍
Went there again and again; the food and hospitality was excellent!!!"

"Dropped in here for Saturday lunch. Restarant was very busy, but managed to get a table outside. Good menu, a little on the pricey side but the food was excellent. The service however was very slow. Took 20mins for the drinks order to come, was only 2 beers, and on asking for the bill, took a further 25mins. They looked understaffed, so was maybe just bad luck for our visit. Service aside, this place serves great food and is nicely situated."

"An absolutely horrible dining experience.
Took so long to be seated even after the server seated two people who walked into the store after we did and completely ignored the sign that said “wait here to be seated.” He said he “simply forgot” before we got seated.
We had to wait a long time for someone to take our orders but the rude lady immediately pointed out that I could not have my reusable water bottle on the table and that I had to put it on the chair next to me so it was not visible (?). I have never had such an experience from all the restaurants I’ve dined in.
We had to wait an insane amount of time to get our food (that was very simple to make). Over 45 minutes.
When the food came, it was very average and simple. The egg was far too runny for sunny side up and felt underdone. The price was extremely overpriced. Paying 30 euro for a coke and two breakfasts (pictured below). All of which could be made with a fraction of the selling price.
What put insult to the injury was when we asked to pay and the waitress said yes and then proceeded to go outside, play smiling faces with a baby in a stroller and go to rearrange cutlery. We waited another 10-15 minutes before getting up and going to her to pay there and she said “so you want to pay?!?!” She begrudgingly put the amount into the machine so we could pay and leave.
Not coming back, the value for money, disregard for the customer and terrible service is appalling. But of course, I, the paying customer, is being unprofessional by having my water bottle on the table. They can feel free to be as irresponsible and rude as they please."

Café Paris impresses with its wonderful ambience and lovingly designed interior. But that alone would not be enough for me to recommend Café de Paris here. Of course, the breakfast variations are also excellent!
Chef Julia Komp: where to eat in Cologne
It's more about the location but they serve a burger and steak and they have oysters from time to time, fish soup. They are a little bit French, very modern. Everybody will find something on the menu they like.
