What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Radeberger Spezialausschank is praised for its stunning Elbe river views and authentic German cuisine, particularly the pork knuckle and schnitzel. Diners also appreciate the house-brewed Radeberger beers and the cozy atmosphere. However, some reviews mention issues with food being overly salty or dry, and the occasional annoyance of insects when dining outdoors.
"Really good spot that is affiliated with Radeberger Brewery. The pork knuckle, the dumplings, the pretzel and the Zwickelbier (unfiltered beer) were all amazing. For being a touristy place, the food was excellent, the beer was great and the staff was actually really nice and quick. Remember to make a reservation. I also loved the view on the Elbe River. Look forward to returning!"

"We visited Radeberger in Dresden and the experience was amazing from start to finish. The service was attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. A highlight for me was a special drink—the appearance and presentation speak volumes, and the color and serving vessel convey the vibe without needing a word. You can tell from the picture that it’s something special. Overall, a standout experience worth repeating if you’re in Dresden."

"This restaurant is located right by the river and I love the dining experience here. The food is amazing and the service is great! The place is a little cramped but I love it as it feels cozy and nice. They brew their own beer and we ordered a lot even though it's only midday."

Paulaner seems to be bavarian and must be very good that you recommend it over the saxonian Sophienskeller in the same hotel. Reading the menu from Zum Schiesshaus makes my mouth water as it has the game(wild) dishes that I crave for. I suppose Radeberger Ausschank is great for the regional food and the river view.
Best Bars in Dresden
Radeberger beer is almost as much of an emblem of Dresden as the Semper Opera House, which they sponsor and have this bar next door to, inside the historic Brückenmeisterei-Haus (Bridgemaster House) on the famous Brühlsche Terrace. Four giant copper special vats hold the unfiltered, naturally cloudy Pils, which produce the Radeberger Pilsner and Radeberger Zwickelbier exclusive to the bar. A glass exit in the roof brings you onto the Terrace, from which you can enjoy great views over the Elbe.
Schnitzel Restaurants in Dresden
What can I do in Dresden?
If you want a drink with a view you should almost certainly go to Radeberger Spezialausschank where you can find a unique and unfiltered pilser, all whilst looking over the scenic River Elbe. Prices are slightly more expensive to compensate for the location, however I felt it was well worth it, especially when it was so hot last summer!. The speciality beer in Dresden is Schwarzbier, which is a darker variety of ale.

Quite idyllic: you will find the Radeberger Spezialausschank directly on the Elbe, in an old bridge master’s house – in the middle of Dresden’s historic old town. On two floors, you will be served Saxon dishes and of course – as the name suggests – Radeberger beer specialties. Terrassenufer 1 01067 Dresden 0351 4848660
