Reviews Summary

Takumi is celebrated for its authentic and rich ramen broths, with many praising the perfect noodle texture and generous toppings. The bustling atmosphere and open kitchen add to the experience, though some mention long wait times. While most find the food delicious, a few reviewers noted inconsistencies or felt it wasn't worth waiting in line.

"Located right in the heart of Düsseldorf’s Little Tokyo, Takumi stands out as one of the most popular ramen spots in the area — and for good reason. The broth is rich and satisfying, the noodles cooked to perfection, and the toppings are generous and authentic.

We ordered the ramen and gyoza, both of which delivered on flavor and quality.

Do expect a long queue, especially during peak hours — a sign of its popularity. But if you’re craving comforting Japanese ramen in the city, this is the place to be.

📍 Tip: Check out the Little Tokyo district map posted near the entrance — it’s a great guide to explore the nearby Japanese eateries and shops."

"Really nice place for Japanese food, quick service and delicious food. Loved the Teriyaki chicken here! Has seating both inside and outside. People are really nice too."

"This ramen spot was not bad. We got there around 4:30pm and there was a decent line. We waited about 20 minutes before getting a table. It did move pretty quickly though. When ordering I appreciated the staff knowing Japanese made me feel like I was back in Okinawa. I wasn’t a fan of the teriyaki chicken but everything else was pretty standard. The edamame was just fine because it’s pretty hard to mess up. I did enjoy the miso soup. Will likely try a new place in the future to see different takes on the dish. Thanks!"

Great Places to Eat and Drink in Düsseldorf

In a city with a Japanese community of more than 7,000, it would be scandalous to visit and not eat at least one amazing bowl of ramen - the difficulty you'll find is limiting it to just that one bowl!. Whilst Na Ni Wa is the most highly recommended (with queues around the block, even on Sunday mornings), it was unfortunately shut on the day we made time for noodles. Thankfully, there's another in the running for the best Japanese restaurant in town - Takumi.
