samane nasiri

"Had a nice breakfast here at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately the brezens weren't super fresh, and we chose this place because of them... But overall I'd say the breakfast is a good value for money."

Iris Potruch

"Best Brezen , when made fresh!
Unfortunately Brezen are almost always chewy since they are pre made and sit in the fridge for a while (which is totally understandable, unfortunately)"

Best Things to Do, See, and Eat in Nuremberg: The Ultimate Travel Guide

While pretzels are a popular beer snack across Germany and not unique to Nuremberg, the city has the biggest variety of these knotted goodies I’ve ever seen!. Plus, fun fact: if you want a plain salted pretzel, Franconia is apparently the only place in Germany where you’ll get fine salt instead of coarse. The best place to get your pretzel fix is Brezen Kolb, a family-owned business that’s been baking pretzels the traditional way since 1957.

Brezen Kolb: Family-run and supremely popular, there are Brezen Kolb stands throughout the city, but the headquarters is truly impressive. Their environmentally-friendly, two-story production hall has an 80-seat cafe, garden terrace, and bakery capable of producing 6,000 pretzels per hour. Their brezn are such an essential part of the Nuremberg diet, Brezen Kolb even offers a Pretzel Drive-In!

Do one thing, and do it very well should be the motto for Brezen Kolb. Another family run business, Brezen Kolb has been in operation since 1957, with three generations having led Brezen Kolb to the place of being the number one pretzel establishment in Nuremberg, with a countless number of kiosks across the city. Rest assured, they found a new fan in me.

Nuremberg is the home to the pretzel ( brought later to America by German immigrants ) and there’s no better place to sample this salty treat than at Brezen Kolb. For 50 years Brezen Kolb in Nuremberg has been serving yummy pretzels via their kiosks across the city & they found a new fan in me. Lots of butter , garlic and chives- damn it was tasty!

For snacks, we devoured oozing raclette and jam slathered on bread at the Herbstmarket (the autumn market – there are seasonal and weekly markets throughout the year) and snaffled a fresh salty pretzel from various Brezen Kolb stands, smeared with the Bavarian speciality of obazd’n spiced cheese spread and fresh cucumber.
