Wenn ich ans Otto Hiemke denke, dann katapultiere ich mich schon in die Adventszeit: Gänse- und Entenbraten, auch wenn Daniel Zander, Chef des sympathischen Gasthauses, das er gemeinsam mit seiner Schwester Stefanie führt, für das MAZ-Weihnachtsmenü zwei Fischgänge gezaubert hat. Treu ist der Wirt damit seiner Küchenphilosophie in jedem Fall geblieben. Deutsche Hausmannskost, frisch zubereitet, nur glücklicherweise nicht so feist, dass man danach allerlei Verdauungsschnäpse braucht – auch wenn man im niedlichen kleinen Wirtshaus, das 1896 eröffnet wurde, eine respektable Whisky-Auswahl findet.

This is another of our favorite restaurants in Potsdam, we love its traditional German food, where you can find all the dishes that we have already mentioned and also the variety of craft beers in the city. But we also love that it is in another of our most desirable neighborhoods: in Babelsberg, away from the tourism of the city center and in the middle of the streets of palaces and movie production studios, you come across this little restaurant that is quite a Local cookery dating back to 1896. Potsdamians give it top ratings, so a tremendous choice.
