Reviews Summary
Glossitses is praised for its beautiful seaside location, offering stunning views and a relaxed atmosphere. Many diners rave about the fresh, delicious seafood and generous portions, finding it a great value for the harbor area. However, some reviews mention inconsistent service, with a few experiencing unfriendliness, and one review indicated dissatisfaction with ingredient quality and preparation.
"One of our favourite restaurants during our week in Crete. The servers were friendly and relaxed, the views were lovely, and the food was divine – everything tasted so fresh. I would highly recommend eating here."

"Beautiful view of the sunset, fair prices for this prime spot. Portions are average and service staff very friendly. Had the shrimp and the octopus, both very good. The octopus especially was perfectly cooked. 5 euro large beer, mains between 13 and 20 euro, would recommend."
Gail Karran
"I highly recommend the Zuchinni Flowers. They are made Armenian style with rice, nuts, dried fruit, in a bed of drizzled pomegranate syrup. I order this dish almost everywhere I go and this is the best I’ve had in Greece. We also had the sardine fillets and Cretan salad. The service is great. We had a nice shaded breeze and a good view of the port. Side note… the WC area has the best view! Ha!"

I Love Greek Food (Part 1): What I Ate in Crete
When we went diving, one of the dive instructors suggested that we go to at least one of two tavernas: Patrelantonis or Glossitses. Patrelantonis was on the southeastern side of the Akrotiri peninsula—a bit too far from where we otherwise were zipping around. Glossitses, on the other hand, was within walking distance of our Airbnb in the Chania harbor.
La Maison Ottomane - Where to eat
Glossitses restaurant – Chania Old Town – Harbour Front - Glossitses is a buzzing place; squid ink risotto, aubergine salad, grilled baby squid, ground meat patties are all excellent. Service can be a little scrappy since they recently expanded.
20 Greek Foods You Must Try Before You Die: My Favorite Chania Restaurants
This particular version was tuna souvlaki that came from my second favorite restaurant in Chania, Glossitses. Glossitses has an amazing harbor view. The best thing about the restaurant (besides the food) is that they are a fair trade restaurant.
