"Well, this was a great place to eat. The waiter was intelligent and informative about the island. His mother was doing superb work in the kitchen, proper home cooked food emerged and we were delighted.
We shared a pastitsio dish and local lamb chops with the trimmings.
We thought we might give dessert a miss but he told us about frigania, a local dish a cross between a cheesecake and pannacotta. Lovely. Ordered one, then ordered a second!"

"First, don't let this man lure you in! The owner is such a magnet for tourists and he talks absolute nonsense for what feels like hours. He promises the best moussaka in Greece - I am not so sure, but the food was decent! Decide for yourself if what you see on people's tables looks good to you.
Food: we ordered grilled fish, which was pretty good and came with a side of vegetables. One complaint I have is that it was not seasoned at all, not sure why. We also had stuffed calamari - a bit overcooked and rubbery and the stuffing was ok.
Service: We really liked the service! Our waiter gave me an option to return my dish if I don't like it and not get charged for it (I didn't take him up on it, but that's still nice). There were many guests at the restaurant so the wait time was considerably long - we waited close to 1 hour. At the end of our visit, we got a small dessert on the house, which was delicious. 10/10 for hospitality for this family run place.

"Fantastic break from the heat and touring of Zante town. Both the owner and the waiter were so lovely it wasn’t just a meal it was an experience. The waiter was instructing everyone on a few Greek words and phrases and we got an unbelievably delicious free dessert before paying our very reasonable bill. Apparently, the waiter told us, the shade of the eucalyptus trees is what makes it so relaxing. It was a scorching day but we were never too hot. ❤️(The simple dessert, frigania which involves soaking the frigania or Greek rusks in syrup, and adding custard to the middle and fresh cream with sprinkles of roasted almonds on top, was made by housewives all over Zakynthos. Then restaurants adopted it and they now serve it as a complimentary dish after each meal. )"
