What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Hasika is lauded for its creative and modern interpretations of traditional Cretan cuisine, with many praising the unique flavors and high-quality ingredients. The ambiance is often described as chic and welcoming, and the service is generally excellent. However, some find the prices to be on the higher side, and a few reviewers noted that dishes could be overwhelmingly flavored or that the menu might not cater to all tastes.
"Lovely restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere. Hasika offers traditional greek cuisine with a modern twist. Thus the prices are also a bit higher but if you appreciate high quality food and service Hasika is a must-visit. The flavours are just out of this world, have enjoyed both of the times I visited Hasika (I had to come back here after 3 years because of the lentil salad and the cheese pies😅) I recommend especially the eggplant and rooster as main dishes and the lovely salads as starters."

"We stumbled across this restaurant in the streets of Rethymno and absolutely loved it!
The street was not too busy so it was very pleasant to sit in the street.
The service was absolutely lovely, we received great advices for our orders and all in all great conversations.
Now to the best part, the food!
We shared 3 entrances, a Cretan salad which honestly was the best we tried in our vacation here. A cheese pie which as well was absolutely fabulous and an amazing shrimps saganaki.
For main courses we had an absolutely delicious fish (red snapper, the best fish he ate according to my boyfriend) and an amazing pilaf bulgar lamb!
We can only recommend this place if you’d like to try authentic delicious Cretan food.
We both do not drink alcohol so we did not try the wine but they have a bar directly connected with the restaurant and it looks as well as the perfect match with the food."

"Had a lovely first meal in Crete. Good variety and value for money. The dishes were all absolutely delicious! And generous portions. Such a stylish restaurant and service was really good. Meal were finishes with a complementary small desert. We had the Marinated Rooster , Calamari Giros, pastrami sandwich (with real hand cooked crisps to perfection) and lamb slow cooked."

Restaurants in Crete
An open kitchen where the chefs practice their alchemy connects directly to the tables in the small dining room and on the pavement outside. A Cretan bistro, it draws influences from the great culinary tradition of the island and Asia Minor where the family of the chef hail from. Hearty cured fish and meats are a specialty—lamb prosciutto, beef pastrami, apaki (smoked pork), and piquant sausages are all prepared in an off-site workshop—and they are presented as modern dishes with artistry and finesse.
