Cafe Boheme

Not to be confused with Bohemia Cafe, Café Boheme is larger than it appears, with cool decor and a cosy space to relax on the second floor. The fresh croissants with goat cheese and vegetables are divine, and the cakes and sweet treats are just as good. There are also plenty of gluten-free options available.

Serving what I consider to be the best breakfast in Antigua, Café Boheme is a winner on two fronts: 1) gorgeous views from its bohemian terrace and 2) scrumptious menu options that include mammoth acai bowls (like literally they’re huge, Luke and I shared one). The staff here, like most cafés I came across in Guatemala, were super friendly and welcoming. They immediately guided me up a set of narrow steps that opened to a widened terrace with a mix of large and small tables.

Cafe Boheme is located super close to Parque Central and has a great location for travelers and digital nomads. On this earthy rooftop above Antigua, you will find a haven where the WiFi works and you can sit among several others tapping away on laptops overlooking the volcanoes. (The local Antigua city guide at Remote Year also recommends this cafe as a place to get work done, so you know the suggestion is legit!)

When you walk into the cafe, it appears to only be a small shop, albeit one with a number of delicious-looking tarts in a glass display case.

But if you’re looking for more of a view or a full food menu, Café Boheme is a popular French lunch spot, a skip and a hop over on fifth street. On a clear day, its terrace offers a stunning view of the volcanoes that encircle Antigua, and an order there has never left me unimpressed. Cafe Boheme serves a wide variety of fresh salads, sandwiches, and desserts.

The colorful rooftop terrace with wooden tables, lots of plants, and gorgeous views is reason enough to check out this café. Add to this a delicious breakfast, and this place is just perfect for a late morning of work. Aside from the terrace, you also have a couple of spots that are covered, but they aren’t the most comfortable for working.

Cafe Bohème is a cute and colorful place to eat, drink coffee, and get some work done on your laptop in Antigua!. The rooftop area is airy and comfortable with simple wooden chairs and tables (some have cushions). Best of all, you don’t feel like you’re bothering anyone if you whip out your computer and connect to the WiFi!

Cafe Boheme is a cute and colorful place to sip some coffee or hot chocolate, and indulge in a sweet tart (or two). It’s a super chill area and just feels extremely peaceful. Cafe Boheme is actually a popular French spot and I definitely recommend it for breakfast or a mid-day snack if you’re in the area.

Cafe Boheme is very well rated online and definitely has the best healthy food in Antigua, Guatemala. After the burger at Pappy’s BBQ, I needed something fresh, light and healthy. Also, when it’s super hot in Antigua and you’ve been walking all day long, a fresh sandwich, salad and smoothie is so perfect!

I’ll kick it off with Cafe Boheme, which has an extensive menu and a nice little rooftop sitting area (including volcano view). We got savory croissants, sandwiches, and quiche as soon as we arrived (starving after an insanely long car ride), and came back the next morning for coffee and pastries.

Cafe Bohème is the perfect breakfast or lunch spot serving all sorts of breakfast staples along with salads, sandwiches, and more. Cafe Bohème has a great atmosphere and serves delicious coffee as well. Some friends and I came here for lunch after the Acatanengo Volcano hike.

🌋 Rooftop Volcano Views 🧀 French-Inspired Menu 🛋️ Cozy Vibes. This was one of my favorite “reset” spots, I’d come here when I needed some fresh air, literally. Climb to the rooftop and you’ll find cozy couches, boho décor, and volcano views that stop you mid-sip.

Cafe Boheme pleased me with amazing coffee, food and french inspired pastries!. It's got extremely cozy decor where you can lounge on pillows. There are tons of outlets for every table, which is super important to me when I choose a cafe since I'm usually working.

Cafe Boheme is a real and true French restaurant in Antigua and one of the few. They gained a lot of popularity due to their pastries, you can expect to enjoy top-notch French-style pastries. The ambiance is adorable, giving the whole experience a different level.

Café Bohème: You can see that volcanic eruption I mentioned earlier from the rooftop terrace of Café Bohème. I haven’t been here normally many times. Delicious breakfasts (tip: get the cocoa bowl!), iced coffee and plenty of places to sit and work for hours.

Pamper yourself with delicious vegetarian food during your trip to Antigua. Owned by a French couple, the french pastry is excellent. They also offer vegetarian options, delicious tea blends, and coffee to spend a nice afternoon on their terrace.

Cafe Boheme Antigua 📍is in our opinion the best overall cafe in Antigua. It is easy to walk past on the street as the entry does not look anything special. But behind the entrance, you walk upstairs and there is a beautifully decorated rooftop.

Cafe Boheme - A super cozy café nestled in the heart of Antigua; Boheme is a perfect place to work in a relaxed setting. While it may be little dark, the refined, colorful decoration makes one feel like they’re hanging in a bohemian loft.

Cafe Boheme is well-known in town as a nice cafe with a great terrace. They have 20+ different tables, both outdoors and inside on their large, expansive rooftop. Don’t be fooled by the underwhelming entryway, just ask to sit upstairs!

I had brunch on my last day here and it was such a great way to end my trip in Antigua. Another rooftop terrace with stunning views. Seriously, it’s incredible how every restaurant has some type of outdoor space.

French Rooftop (Cafe Boheme): We shared a delicious breakfast here with two large cappuccinos for $9.30 USD. We had a delicious chocolate cream puff on the way out that cost $1.42 USD.

This is a centrally located French cafe with a secluded rooftop. It was one of my favorites for breakfast in Antigua. They have an acai bowl that is to die for!

I advise to visit Cafe Boheme for lunch, as they offer a good menu with sandwiches and pastries. Their charming rooftop terrace makes it an ideal spot to relax.

This tiny café has lots of character and will make you feel like you’re enjoying a Parisian afternoon—definitely a great option for breakfast and lunch.
