"Great restaurant, a must visit one in Budapest. The location is convenient and easy to find. But located in a quiet street.
The restaurant is so popular, really recommend on booking it at least a week earlier.
The staff are very friendly and proactive.
I am especially impressed by the little booklet they have on the table, which shows you what to do in Budapest.
All the waitresses are very lovely, very good at recommending dishes and introducing authentic Hungarian dishes."

"This place has great and truly authentic Hungarian food. My parents are both Hungarian and I grew up eating only Hungarian food. I can honestly say I cried three times while eating here. The food and people made me feel like I was at home in my mom’s kitchen and I might even dare to say they cook better than my dear sweet mother. They don’t dumb down their flavors like so many places for a foreigner’s palate. It is favor packed but if you choose you can adjust spice levels by adding some “Eros pista”, a pepper and spicy paste often added to soups or many dishes at the table. Or you can add a few slices of Hungarian peppers or you can cool plates/spice levels down with a dollop of sour cream or two like a true Hungarian. Book now and don’t wait. I watched tons of people turned away who hadn’t made reservations or whom were having to wait for the 1:30 seating for a possible no-show opening. I stood in line outside for the 12:00 seating myself and was lucky to get a table. I had accidentally booked for another date instead. I came with a big appetite and as an appetizer, I ate a “bab leves”, which is a flavor packed bean soup and for my entree, I ate a traditional stuffed cabbage known to Hungarians as “Töltött káposzta”. If you like bland food dont come here. If you love flavor packed foods and are looking for an authentic Hungarian food experience, come here now."

"We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, and our server, Adri, was incredibly attentive. We initially wanted to leave an extra 5% tip for her, but she honestly explained that a 15% service charge was already included in the bill, and the additional 5% would be for her personally. This honesty truly impressed us—it showed that her great service was genuine and not motivated by tips. During our trip in Budapest, this was the first time a server clarified this so openly, which made the whole experience even more memorable!"

The Best Restaurants In Budapest's Pest Quarter
It’s in the name of this small restaurant, but it’s not specifically the dishes of Hungary you’ll find here but the flavours. While this does mean spicy paprika and juicy stews, the real glory is in its mangalica, a breed of pig specific to Hungary and whose existence has even been protected by the government – which means the quality of its meat is worth the expense. Add in homely piano-driven tunes, traditional chequered tablecloths and some of the most friendly service you’ll find in the city and you’re left with a dining experience that truly offers a taste of Hungary.

25 Fun Foodie Spots to Try in Budapest, Hungary
Most of the restaurants we visited throughout all our travels were specifically vegetarian/vegan, or at least had plenty of veggie options since Liv and Nijal are vegetarians. We knew we wanted to have a traditional Hungarian meal at least once during our trip, but since Hungarian food is so meat-centric, we had to make sure wherever we went had enough options for everyone to choose from. Liv found this awesome spot in District 5 (that you definitely need reservations for), and it was the perfect restaurant to get an authentic Hungarian meal.
